
THE PURDUE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, IUPUI is seeking a dynamic leader for the position of Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology for a term beginning on or about July 1, 2010. The Purdue School of Engineering and Technology is located on the campus of Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The School has seven academic departments and is the home to three Signature Centers including the Richard G. Lugar Center for Renewable Energy, Biomechanics and Biomaterials Research Center and the Transportation Active Safety Institute.
The Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer for the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology. Responsibilities include shaping and articulating a vision for the school, enhancing the school's national reputation in education, funded research, and scholarship, and managing the school's diverse curriculum, personnel matters, and fiscal affairs. The Dean will work closely with industry partners and utilize them to increase research and development, consult on academic excellence, and to help sponsor school projects and ventures. As a member of IUPUIās senior administrative team, the Dean reports to the IUPUI Chancellor and works closely with other deans and executive officers on behalf of the university as a whole.

Tenure Track Faculty Position in Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Richard Lugar Center for Renewable Energy (LCRE) at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), invite applications for a tenure track faculty position in the field of energy engineering. Of particular interest are areas such as Li-ion battery, solar energy, wind energy, and clean coal technology. Applicants of all ranks are considered. A Ph.D. degree in engineering or a closely related discipline and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering courses are required. National lab experience is a plus. The successful candidate will be affiliated with LCRE, and is expected to bring new research direction to the Center.
