Dear students,

Welcome to the home page of the newly created Computer Information and Leadership Technology Department (CILT).  Effective July 1, 2007 the faculty and administration of the School of Engineering and Technology combined two great academic departments into one. Computer Information Technology (CIT) and Organizational Leadership and Supervision (OLS) formed a new strategic alliance.

I am very excited to tell you about this dynamic new partnership and you will be excited too when you see how much synergy, innovation and creativity our partnership generates. We are convinced that combining these two powerful and generative programs will fully tap into the talents of our faculty and strengths of our individual programs.

Rest assured that your degree requirements have not changed in any way. As you follow CIT’s and OLS program links you will see that we are respectfully honoring our present programs as we know they lead to great careers right now.

In the near future however your faculty will introduce new courses, concentrations and certificates that will become the bench mark curricula for growing and developing future leaders. You will become those leaders. You will shape not only the computer information industry, but all the industries in which you choose to work, now and well into the 21st century. These new additions to our curricula will add tremendously to your technical knowledge, and to your professional leader development. With this combination of skills you will be eagerly sought after by employers from around the world.  All industries desperately need strong, effective, and mature leaders. CILT will be the resource of choice to meet that need and each of you will benefit in full measure.   

I am proud to lead the faculty of CILT and you to this promising new future. Welcome aboard and together let’s enjoy our journey.
