Description
This course provides a general introduction to computer technology career perspectives. In addition, the course is designed to instill in students the skills required to be successful in college. The primary objective is to retain first semester college students in the university community by building a link from past educational experiences to current educational opportunities.

Objectives
  • Understand and use proven methods of time management
  • Understand and use effective study skills
  • Understand the process for contacting and receiving specific help from appropriate departments of the university
  • Request and assess feedback on performance
  • Understand and use effective test taking techniques
  • Have developed resource and information gathering skills to facilitate preparation of a research paper
  • Understand and use the university e-mail system
