The New CIT Animation

A technology grant from Cisco Systems will support the Purdue School of Engineering & Technology at IUPUI's efforts in building its network security curriculum. Check out the new CIT Network Security Track website.

It will consist of 200 multiple choice and true/false questions covering all aspects of computer and information technology terminology and concepts, including computer hardware, software, programming, the Internet, security, and systems analysis and design.

You must earn no lower than an 80% on the test overall.

Here is a list of all of the key terms from the current textbook if you wish to get an idea of all the terms that could possibly be on the test; although no where near all of the terms will be on the test, you will be able to see what sort of subjects will be covered: http://portfolio.iu.edu/wwatson/cpt115/NP6KeyTerms.doc

Grade and Credit
You will receive an "S" and not a traditional letter grade as well as three-hours credit if you pass the Test Out.

Fees
There is no fee to take the Test Out. Consult the Bursar's Office to find out the fee if you pass the Test Out. Test Out fees are nominal during the first three semesters of a student's IUPUI academic career. Students can expect to be charged the regular cost of the class if they take the Test Out after their third IUPUI semester.

Other Conditions

• You can only take the CIT 115 test out one time.
• You cannot take the test out during a semester when you are enrolled in CIT 115.
• You cannot take the test out if CIT 115 appears on your transcript.
• If you are enrolled in CIT 115 this semester, you must withdraw by the last day for full refunds so CIT 115 does not appear on your transcript.

• Ensure the subject line reads CIT 115 Test Out and the date you want to take the test . For example a subject line might read CIT 115 Test Out March 24.
• Ensure your student ID#, your preferred email address, and your Oncourse (UITS) username is included in the message.
