Q: My JagTag doesn't work on the ET second floor, why?
Answer: The doors on the ET Second floor are handled by the ECET department separately from the ET Lower Level. Because of this, you must register through the ECET department to open the doors on the second floor. Students interested in access need to contact their instructor for access to the labs. Instructors who need to get their students registered can contact CNC for instructions on how to do this.
Q: How do I get the "automatic doors" to open the doors in the ET Lower Level?
Answer: The security system is set to only open the doors on "authorized" individuals. Because of this, you must stripe your JagTag first to unlock the doors before the automatic doors will operate. The steps are as follows: 1) Stripe JagTag to "unlock" the doors 2) When you hear the "click" of the doors unlocking, then press the "automatic door open" buttons. 3) The doors will then open automatically.
Q: I have a conference or group that needs access to the ET Lower Level, what do I do?
Answer: Contact Don Krajewski in CNC to arrange access prior to your event. There are many options that can be used to handle these special situations. Please Note: If you contact Don on the day of the event, then it is too late to arrange access for that day.
Q: Can you mail us our JagTag?
Answer: No. We don't have anything to do with issuing JagTags. Issuing JagTags is handled through campus Card Services. You can reach them at 274-5177 by phone or www.jagtag.iupui.edu via web for their policies on this matter.
Q: How do I make sure the JagTag works?
Answer: The easiest way to do this is to test it during the add/drop period at the beginning of the semester. If it doesn't work, please let someone know at CNC either through e-mail or advising the person at our help window.
Q: As a person who needs access to the ET Lower Level, how do I assure that I am granted access?
Answer: First, make sure you own a JagTag. Second, if you teach a class listed as an "Undecided" instructor, be sure to make sure that is update to reflect you are teaching that class. Third, if you are a student, you MUST be registered by the day after the add/drop period at the beginning of the semester (usually 12 to 15 days after the semester starts). Everything else occurs automatically.
Q: If I have a JagTag or ID card from earlier semesters, do I need a new one to work with the ET Lower Level?
Answer: If you have a card with the JagTag logo on it or a previous OneCard, it should work correctly and open the ET Lower Level doors for you.
Q: Where do I pick up a JagTag?
Answer: JagTag's are available any Card Services location. At the time of writing this, there are two locations: Union Building room 115 (620 Union Drive) University College room 127 (815 West Michigan Street)
