Masters of Science

The Program offers a Masters of Science (MS) Degree through the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology (MS in Technology). Our Masters Degree is flexible enough to be tailored to your needs and job requirements. The M S degree program is an interdisciplinary program that requires a total of 33 credit hours. Although the study plan can be customized to fit each student's interest, all students must take a total of three interdisciplinary core courses. The balance of the credit hours is distributed between the research projects and coursework related to the student’s interests and career plans.

In general, the coursework is designed to assist students to develop and strengthen skills necessary to improve their employability or advancement in their careers. The departmental focus is generally directed to project management, estimating, scheduling, contract administration, risk management, quality control, quantitative decision making  and other related subjects. The research component is project-oriented and, therefore, a working professional can earn research credits while resolving a problem related to his/her work.

We have a limited number of assistantships available through the school and the department. Once you apply for admission, you could be considered for an assistantship (research or teaching) if you so desire.

For more details, please review our Plan of Study, and Course Offerings.
