Construction Management Laboratory

Overview/Purpose
The Construction Estimating, Costing, Bidding, and Scheduling Laboratory, which is essentially a combination classroom and computer laboratory, was established for the purpose of enabling students to practice construction estimating, pricing of construction work using CD-Rom software, and incorporating the RSMean's Construction Cost Guide to these ends. Additionally, students are trained in the use of the Timberline software for costing and pricing, and the Primavera Software is used for scheduling of construction work in terms of Bar Charts, CPM diagrams, and Precedence Diagram methodologies. The classroom used in conjunction with this laboratory houses blueprints, specifications, and contract documents used in the various classes to facilitate document-reading skills.
