CIT 213 Web-Based Analysis and Design
Provides students with object-oriented tools and techniques needed for the analysis and design process for Web-based applications. UML concepts are introduced and re-enforced through Web-based projects.(This course is equivalent to CIT 254, a classroom-based course.)
CIT 242 Introduction to ASP.Net Programming
Provides the basics for understanding and applying ASP.Net to Web projects. Both syntax and optimal programming architectural approaches will be covered.
CIT 312 Advanced Web Site Design
Gives students the tools and techniques necessary to maximize the effectiveness of deploying e-commerce Web applications and addresses both client and server side strategies. This course foucuses on optimal Web design strategies rather than coding activities. Strategies focus on internal design issues such as security, reusability, and architecture, and external design issues such as user interfaces, load times, and multimedia. The concepts of these advanced design topics will be re-enforced with Web-based projects.
CIT 347 Advanced ASP.Net Programming
Covers the application of ASP.Net and Web objects in a Web environment. Reusability and architecural considerations are major themes.
CIT 412 XML-based Web Applications
Familiarizes students with the Extensible Markup Language (XML) and teaches them to build Web applications using XML. Students learn to display dynamic XML data in a Web browser by using databinding and the Document Object Model (No prior knowledge of XML is required.)
CIT 436 Advanced E-Commerce Development
Provides students the opportunity to apply the concepts and techniques from the prior Certificate courses to a real-world opportunity. Students will develop a data-driven, e-commerce site for a small to medium size local company.
