The MET Senior Project course, required for graduation, will be offered again during the summer of 2010 as a one week intensive course. This is the same format as the past four summers......however, the class will be listed as a Summer Session II class rather than as a Fall class as it has been in the past......and it will be offered August 2-6. MET 414 will not be offered during Fall 2010, but will be offered during Spring semester as a 15 week class. Be sure to adjust your schedule accordingly. For more information contact Professor Pete Hylton at phylton@iupui.edu.
IUPUI and Winston Salem State University (WSSU) will offer a unique, experiential learning opportunity from May 17-29. The first week will occur in North Carolina at WSSU, with field trips to Lowes Motor Speedway and visits to several NASCAR team shops and other related businesses. WSSU faculty will lecture on motorsports management. The second week will be back at IUPUI and will involve the technology side of motorsports, including visits to team shops in the Indianapolis area and as well as local tracks. Last time this class was offered, students attended 2 races in each city as well. Transportation is the responsibility of the student, but inexpensive lodging was offered on the WSSU campus. The class will be offered for 3 credits as MET2990/MSTE29900. For more information contact IUPUI Motorsports Director, Pete Hylton at phylton@iupui.edu
