Saxophone Elective

MUS- W 150 / 1-2 Cr.

The purpose of this course is to instruct individual students in a 1-on-1 environment to improve their skills on the Saxophone. Through this process the student will extend their knowledge of the instrument and music through music theory, practice, performance, and structured sessions. This can include the following:

  •   Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of scales (major, minor, jazz modes, chromatic).

  •   Improve technique and tone production on the saxophone.

  •   Learn standard saxophone repertoire and études and perform them efficiently and
