  • Bridge Building Contest, 6th, 7th and 8th graders
  • POWER (Preparing Outstanding Women for Engineering Roles) Camp: July 9-14
    • The Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, IUPUI in downtown Indianapolis offers this summer day camp to high school females. POWER will be held from July 9-14, Monday thru Saturday on IUPUI’s campus. Monday thru Friday the camp will run from 9-3 and on Saturday from 9-1. Saturday is Parent’s Day, awards and certificates will be given out. The cost for the camp is $75.00, this will include lunch and a light breakfast all week, a t-shirt, as well as other goodies.

    • Students will experience hands-on computer technology fun as they create cool websites, learn computer forensics, and design their own t-shirts! Perfect for any computer lover

  • Design and Discovery: A camp for young minds: July 25-29, 2007
    • Engineering and Technology and the IUPUI Sports Complex have joined forces to offer a week of excitement for young minds (ages 9 -12). The morning will focus on the designed world and campers will have the opportunity to learn more about engineering through hands-on activities.

  • First Fridays
    • Looking for a fun way to visit a college campus? 1st Fridays will give you an opportunity to visit the Purdue School of Engineering & Technology and IUPUI. Each of the 1st Friday’s are open to individuals, groups and entire classes. Each day will focus on different areas of focus and consist of interactive hands on sessions, a campus tour and lunch.
  • MEAP-Minority Engineering Advancement Program
    • The Minority Engineering Advancement Program (MEAP) is a pre-college and college program that was designed to identify minority students who are talented in mathematics and science and then introduce them to exciting educational

    • Workshop 1, Monday June 11 – Friday June 15, 2007
      This workshop is for high school students in grades 9, 10 and 11 at the time of school semester application.
    • Workshop 2, Monday June 25 - Friday June 29, 2007
      This workshop involves 7th grade returning students and 8th grade new students and returning students at the time of
      school semester application.
    • Workshop 3, Monday July 16 – Friday July 20, 2007
      This workshop involves 6th grade and 7th grade students that are new to the program at the time of school semester
      application.
  • Camp Invention®
    • A hands-on science and creativity day camp where children learn while having fun! Students participate in 5 exciting classes each day while experimenting with physics, engineering, and creative problem-solving. A nationally-acclaimed museum program presented by local educators, Camp Invention is “Learning … disguised as fun!” In collaboration with the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
