Undergraduate Admission - Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, IUPUI



Undergraduate Engineering Admission Requirements
For direct admission into any of the undergraduate engineering programs, students should be a graduate of an accredited high school and meet the following admission requirements:
  • Core 40, or equivalent, including chemistry and 4 years of math including trigonometry or pre-calculus
    8 semesters of English composition or literature
    8 semesters of math (beginning with algebra)
    6 semesters of science (biology, chemistry and one more science)
    6 semesters of social science
    4 semesters foreign language (strongly recommended)
    Physical Education
    4 semesters health education
  • Rank in the upper half of high school graduating class
  • Have minimum SAT scores of 520 math and 480 verbal or ACT scores of 22 math and 20 English


Students not admitted directly may enter IUPUI through University College while they work toward their goals and meet the requirements for admission to Engineering and Technology.

Undergraduate Technology Admission Requirements
For direct admission into any of the technology programs, students should be a graduate of an accredited high school and meet the following admission requirements:
  • Be a high school graduate with an Academic Honors Diploma or equivalent, AND
  • Have minimum SAT scores of 500 math and 450 verbal OR have minimum ACT scores of 21 math and 18 English.
OR
  • Complete Core 40, or equivalent, with grades of C or above in all mathematics classes and no more than 2 grades below C- in other classes
    8 semesters of English composition or literature
    6 semesters of math (beginning with algebra)
    6 semesters of science (biology, chemistry and one more science)
    6 semesters of social science
    4 semesters foreign language (strongly recommended)
    Physical Education
    4 semesters health education; AND
  • Rank in the upper half of high school graduating class AND
  • Have minimum SAT scores of 500 math and 450 verbal OR have minimum ACT scores of 21 math and 18 English.
