I lived in Purdue House my freshman year. The four-bedroom two bathroom apartment gave me the opportunity to live on campus and reduce the amount of time to get to my classes. I had my own fully furnished bedroom and since each apartment has two bathrooms, I only shared the bathroom with one person, and I had the opportunity to choose him as a roommate. It was truly an amazing experience.
Also, all of the students living in Purdue House and Purdue House 2 are studying engineering, technology, or science making the environment more comfortable and full of advantages. We formed study groups and did homework together and upper level students who had previously taken some of our classes helped us too. In addition, we have our own 24 hour computer lab in which only Purdue House residents have access! These computers have all of the programs that we need and a printer too. This especially came in handy when doing group work.
The apartments come fully equipped: a washer and dryer in each apartment, kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, and dishwasher. Very nice and modern!
Purdue House 2 has two bedrooms and two baths – but otherwise – it is exactly the same as Purdue House.

NOTE: If you are thinking about Purdue House or Purdue House 2, I recommend that you apply as early as possible. Last year we had twice as many applicants as we had rooms.
