Applications for Admission to Ph.D. Engineering Programs

Purdue University Ph.D. engineering studies available at IUPUI:

•  Biomedical Engineering
To apply for admission to the Ph.D. program in Biomedical Engineering, you must complete Purdue University online application, select West Lafayette campus, and apply directly to the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette. Obtain information and specific application instructions at these Purdue University BME websites:

•  Electrical and Computer Engineering
To apply for admission to the Ph.D. program in Electrical and Computer Engineering you must follow these specific steps and instructions to apply:

Step 1:

Complete the Purdue University online application and select West Lafayette campus. Go to the following Purdue University ECE website to begin the application process: https://engineering.purdue.edu/ECE/Academics/Graduates/Admissions/ECE/Graduates/Admissions/

 

Step 2:

In your Statement of Purpose you must state clearly that you wish to be admitted to the Ph.D. program to study at the IUPUI ( Indianapolis) campus. You should also specify in the Statement the research area/s you are interested in and the IUPUI professor/s you wish to study with.

Step 3:

In the supplemental ECE Web Application form where it asks for "Campus Preference", state IUPUI as your campus preference.

Step 4:

Mail all required application materials directly to the Electrical and Computer Engineering Graduate Office at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.

Step 5:

Notify the Coordinator of Graduate Engineering and Technology Programs at IUPUI by email wvlim@iupui.edu after you have submitted the Purdue Univerity application and have sent all application materials to the ECE Graduate Office at Purdue University.

•  Mechanical Engineering
To apply for admission to the Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering to study at the IUPUI campus select the following that applies to you:

•  Domestic Applicant (U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents)

•  International Applicant
