IUPUI Student Chris Collier Receives Honor Scholarship from Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The School of Engineering and Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis has announced that Chris Collier, a sophomore studying computer engineering, has been selected to receive a Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association Honor Scholarship. The Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc. is awarding  Collier a $5,000 scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Collier completed an online scholarship application, provided three letters of recommendation and a copy of his transcript, and met eligibility requirements. The online application was comprised of a variety of essay questions.

The mission of the foundation is to promote the study of material handling, logistics and the supply chain by exposing students and educators to the industry through financial support. The foundation encourages students to consider careers in the industry or teaching and research to prepare the next generation of industry leaders.
