ME 401 Engineering Ethics and Professionalism (1 cr.)


Prerequisites: Senior Standing

Textbooks: R. Schinzinger and M.W Martin, Introduction to Engineering Ethics, First Edition, McGraw-Hill, 1999.

Description: Some ethical, social, political, legal, and ecological issues that a practicing engineer may encounter. EE 401 and ME 401 are cross-listed courses; students may not receive credit for both EE 401 and ME 401.

Goals: This course is designed to make engineering students more aware of ethical issues that may arise in their professional careers and to provide tools for assessing and resolving ethical dilemmas in engineering.
