Textbooks: P.K. Mallick, Fiber Reinforced Composites: Materials, Manufacturing and Design, Second Edition, Marcell-Dekker, Inc., 1993.

Description: Basic concepts of fiber reinforced composites, manufacturing, mechanics and analysis of composite laminates and their application to engineering design are discussed.

Goals: To teach students the basic concepts involved in fiber reinforced composites and their applications in engineering.
