Transfer Student Information

Organizational Leadership and Supervision, IUPUI
Ivy Tech students, who have completed a 2-year degree at Ivy Tech and apply to IUPUI indicating the pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision (OLS), will have their program credit evaluated for transfer towards the OLS Bachelor of Science Degree from the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, IUPUI. Students may use up to 64.0 units of transfer credit towards general education, technology, and elective requirements for the OLS BS degree.
In preparation for transfer to IUPUI's OLS BS Degree Program, students are encouraged to complete as many of the courses listed below prior to their admission to IUPUI:

ENG 111 (Equivalent to ENG-W 131)
MATH 136* & MATH 137* or MATH 135* & MATH 201* (Equivalent to Math 153 & 154 or Math-M 118 & 119)
COMM 101 (Equivalent to COMM-R 110)
ANY 3.0 CR. PHYSICAL SCIENCE (SCI 100; CHM 111; BIO 101; PHY 218; ANP 101)
ANY 3.0 CR. STATISTICS (BUS 230 – Business Statistics)
ANY 3.0 CR. COMMUNICATION ELECTIVE (ENG WRITING; COM; FOREIGN LANG, JOUR, THRT)
ANY 3.0 CR. BEHAVIORAL OR SOCIAL SCIENCE ELECTIVE (PSY; POL; SOC)
ANY 3.0 CR. HUMANITIES ELECTIVE (ANH; PHL; ART; MUS; FOR. LANG; or LIT.)

* May require pre-requisite Math 111 course – this course articulates to IUPUI, but does not count as one of the required mathematics competencies.
Students who have not met prerequisites for direct admission will be place in University College as Pre-Organizational Leadership until the following transfer requirements are complete:

Minimum GPA of 2.5 or above
Completion of ENG-W 131 (or equivalent)
Completion of MATH-M 118 or first 3.0 units of approved college-level mathematics
[Recommended] Completion of OLS 100 or OLS 252 (BUS 208 at Ivy Tech)

Ivy Tech students are encouraged to meet with an OLS advisor early in their academic career to facilitate the transition from 2-year to 4-year institution and to receive important information for relating to transfer procedures, orientations, internship opportunities, and enrollment.
