Information for Freshmen

Welcome to the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology. Below, you will find some important information and resources for new students.

Admissions:

At IUPUI, there are two different types of admissions: Dual admissions and University College admissions.

Students admitted to the University College would be eligible to take introductory level classes to fulfill the requirements needed to attend the different schools at IUPUI.

Students that are admitted into both the University College as well as one of our schools become Dual admissions students. These students can take classes at both the specified school they are accepted into as well as the University College.

Advising Center:

The New Student Academic Advising provides information, guidance, and advice for all freshman students for the first year. Afterwards, advising will be done by the specific department that the student wishes to continue study in.
