The Technical Communications Writing Center is a free student service provided by the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology.

The Center gives you the opportunity to sit with an experienced 'reviewer' who can assist you with improving your writing. Reviewers can help you plan, organize and revise your documents to address audience, purpose and context more effectively. They are especially prepared to help students with writing assignments from Engineering and Technology faculty, but can assist with other writing tasks as well.

Come in early while your paper is still in the idea stage. Reviewers can help you understand the assignment, brainstorm ideas, and clarify them. Or, come later when you have a draft. Reviewers can let you hear a reader's response, help you identify potential problems for readers, and suggest ways to improve our documents.

- Sign up on the sheet posted outside room ET 232
- Drop-ins are welcome if space is available on a first come, first served basis.

Reviewers are available Fall 2007 during the following hours:
Monday: 9:00am - 11:30am
Tuesday: 10:30am - 3:30pm
Wednesday: 9:00am - 11:30am
Thursday: 10:30am - 3:30pm
Friday: 10:00am - 1:00pm

Students can sign up for 30-minute appointments outside ET 232 or by calling the TCM office (278-1311). The TCM Writing Center is located in ET 232.

For additional assistance, contact the University Writing Center located at CA 427. The members of the UWC staff can provide excellent assistance to students. The number to call for appointments if 274-2049.
