Mapping of Memory: EEPROM
Mapping of the 768 bytes EEPROM is similar to that of RAM:
- Default address space begins at 0x0D00;
- Address space can be mapped to any 4-Kbyte boundary;
- The first four bits of an EEPROM address are specified using bits 7 through 4 of INITEE (0x0012).
Bit 0 (EEON) of INITEE enables read access to the EEPROM. (Clearing EEON removes EEPROM from the memory map.)
Programming and erasure of EEPROM does not require EEON to be set.
Resource mapping is covered in section 5.3 of the M68HC12B Family Data Sheet.
