by Chi-Tsong Chen, Oxford University Press,
2013. (We will cover
most of chapters 2 through 6 of the textbook, and introduce balanced
and minimal realizations,
state feedback, and state estimators, plus additional topics
as time permits.)

Corequisites: MA 511.
All students who have not taken MA 511 should be aware that
this course assumes basic knowledge of matrix operations and
eigenstructure.
