Note the Icon:

This will be the icon that represents WinZip and all WinZip files.

A pop up box asks if you want to run from current location

Or Save to disk

4.) Select the option button to save this program to disk and click OK

You will be asked where you would like to save the WinZip Application. Accept the default setting.

File Name should be: WinZip 70.exe

Save as box should read: Application

5.) Click the Save Button

The download complete box alerts you to the fact that it is finished

6.) Click OK

7.) You are back to the WinZip page and may close your browser.

Part II-Installing WinZip

You should now be at your desktop.

Look for the WinZip icon that was observed earlier

8.) Click the WinZip icon.

9.) Click setup in the box that appears

Another box appears that informs you of where WinZip will be installed.

10.) Click OK

The application will install and open the setup wizard.

11.) Click next on the setup wizard box.

12.) When the following License Agreement box appears, read the agreement and click yes.

14.) Select the Option Button to Start the WinZip wizard and click next

15.) Leave the recommended default setting to search entire hard disk then click next and wait.

16.) An alert as to the number of files added to you hard drive appears and recommends clicking next. Please do so.

Your WinZip start menu will open.

18.) Read the information regarding WinZip and then click close.

Part III- Zipping a file

To zip a file right click on it. A pop out menu gives the option of adding the file to a zip file of the same name. Drag down to that option and left click.

After another agreement prompt a zip file is created in the format of the same zip icon.

In order to zip multiple files into the same zip file, create the initial zip file then left click and drag the remaining files over the master zip file icon. Release while the mouse pointer is directly over the icon and the file will be dragged into place.
